Pam Scott

Pam Scott is a Licensed Practical Nurse, and the LPN Administrative Assistant at Tulsa Boys' Home.She joined our staff in October of 2004!

Pam's responsibilities are varied and detail-oriented.Within the first 24 hours that a resident joins TBH, she gives him a general health review and schedules a thorough physical for him.

From that point on, Pam oversees the medications needed by our residents, and conducts preliminary evaluations when a boy is sick or injured to determine if he needs to see a doctor.If he needs a doctor, she is in charge of making sure the physician's instructions are carried out to the letter through coordination with our lodge staff.

Pam treats minor dings like colds, sore throats, sprained ankles and jammed fingers on campus, is in charge of all TB and drug tests for staff pre-employment physicals, sets up flu vaccinations, and reviews each boy's medications with our doctor on Thursdays.Pam updates medication logs for each resident as well.

"I enjoy working with the boys," she said in a recent interview.

But when the day is done, Pam needs to relax like everyone else.

She has a daughter and son living nearby.Her daughter has a son that Pam adores, and Pam is expecting a second grandchild soon!

She also enjoys cooking and crocheting at home.

Pam was born and grew up in Clearwater, Florida.She worked as a school nurse in Middleburg, Florida, before moving to Oklahoma.

Pam receives a sense of fulfillment from being part of the team that helps our residents heal, and to grow into young men at Tulsa Boys' Home.
