In 1978 , Dr. Steven Schwartz bought his first microcomputer , a new Apple II+.Determined to find a way to make money with it , he began writing software reviews , BASIC programs , and user tips for Nibble magazine.Over the past 20 years , Steven has written hundreds of articles for various computer magazines.He was a founding editor of Software Digest , business editor for MACazine , and Director of Technical Services for Funk Software.He currently writes for Macworld and PC World Online.Steven is the author of more than 40 books , including all editions of the Macworld ClarisWorks/AppleWorks Bible and the FileMaker Pro Bible ( IDG Books Worldwide ) ; Internet Explorer 3 and 5 Visual QuickStart Guides ( Peachpit Press ) ; The 9-to-5 Mac ( Hayden Macintosh Library ) ; Help.The Mac Answer Book ( Alpha Books ) ; and a series of game strategy guides from Prima Publishing and Computer.Books.He is a regular contributor and editor for The Macintosh Bible.Steven has a Ph.D. in psychology.
