Mr. Schwartz's civil litigation practice is conducted at both the trial and appellate levels, before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. The cases he handles generally concern business, corporate and commercial disputes involving claims arising under civil RICO, federal securities laws, antitrust laws, enforcement of restrictive covenants, insurance coverage disputes and breach of fiduciary duty and contract claims. Also, he has been actively involved in the defense of mass tort and product liability claims, and litigation concerning environmental challenges to development projects.

His practice also includes representation of cable television and other communications companies in cases and controversies involving a variety of issues, including the interpretation and enforcement of access laws and often implicating First Amendment and Equal Protection issues.
