Photography by Martin Schwartz Aug 14, 2009 6-9 PM 126 S. Warren St. Trenton, NJ

Photography by Martin Schwartz. Friday, Aug. 14. 6-9 PM. Cafe Ole, 126 S. Warren St. Wine and cheese will be served. Martin Schwartz's interest in photography began when stationed in Korea as a 2nd Lt in the US Air Force. Able to buy a fine camera that was beyond reach at home he started developing his skills, photographing what to him was an exotic location. This project started with the idea of photographing the city to try and locate those special places which have not been gentrified or modernized so one could see how the city is being transformed. What I found after I had downloaded about 600 images were a group of photographs of the city environs and of people that seemed to demonstrate a sense of isolation and loneliness -- Schwartz.
