Ronnye Schreiber Ronnye Schreiber is President of PlanetConnect, a company that facilitates strategic collaboration among R&D scientists. Through customized conferences, symposia and tradeshows, and through the education and networking opportunities created during these proprietary events, new products, technologies and medicines are brought to market more quickly and efficiently. The Pharmaceutical, IT and Telecommunications industries have all benefited from the PlanetConnect breakthrough business model.

Prior to co-founding PlanetConnect in 1996, Ms. Schreiber was Director of Conference Planning for Megasoft, where she managed customized, Internet-focused conferences and tradeshows for AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Johnson & Johnson.

Her management experience throughout 12 years with AT&T and Lucent Technologies included marketing within the Broadband Multimedia Networking organization, where she managed multimedia distance learning and information access product development. She also provided information assessments for the Government of Manitoba, Universities, Disney and other Fortune 500 companies. Within Lucent's Bell Laboratories, she directed the marketing, helpline and internal training teams for the Global Library Network.

Ms. Schreiber's career began in the medical/pharmaceutical industry in various research and academic positions focusing on biochemistry and immunology where she developed immunoassays for oncology and cardiovascular therapeutic areas. She held positions at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Arthur D. Little, Rutgers Medical School and Ortho Diagnostics (now Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics). She has co-authored and published several papers in the area of radioimmunoassays.

The non-profit world has caught her attention and spare time. Ms. Schreiber plans programs and festivals, manages sponsorships and does fund-raising for a number of organizations such as the Association of Women in Science (AWIS), American Association of University Women (AAUW), Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation (JSJBF). Cities and towns throughout New Jersey have also tapped into her expertise.

Ms. Schreiber was the Commencement Keynote for DeVry University October 2005 and is a lifetime member of Beta Phi Mu. She has a Master's Degree from Rutgers University School of Library and Information Studies and a B.A. in Bacteriology from Douglass College of Rutgers University.

Ronnye Schreiber, an event planner with the Red Bank-based Planet Connect, which helped organize "Taste of Asbury Park," expects Asbury Park to benefit from the festival as New Brunswick has.

"People are looking for entertainment and that almost always involves food," Schreiber said.
