Every year, the public is given a chance to learn about the art of spinning and weaving, while vendors, mostly local ranchers, are given a chance to show their product to the public, said Marilyn Schneider, vice president and program chair of the Great Falls Spinners and Weavers Guild.
"They can learn about fiber animals and arts," Schneider said."The vendors are extremely knowledgeable about animals. And to be introduced to some of the fiber arts, which have been part of Montana's culture from the beginning."
Schneider said fiber arts give individuals a chance to express themselves creatively while creating cloth or crafts that are useful.
"For the men and women who are members of our guild, fiber arts have become a passion," Schneider said.
