    Henry Schneider, age 78, died on Sunday at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ.He was born in Newark, NJ and had resided in Edison for the last 38 years.Henry was a graduate of Rutger's University.He started at Chase National Bank in New York in January 1942.He entered the Navy in 1943 and served as a radioman on the USS Vixen Flagship, Atlantic Fleet.He was discharged in March 1946 and returned to Chase in the Foreign Department, which became the International Department, working on letters of credit from 1956-1962.In April 1962 he joined Daniel E. Noonan's Foreign Exchange as a Broker and later became a partner and Vice President until the company was sold in June 1976.He then worked as a consultant until he officially retired in 1980.He was a member of the US Power Squadron.

    Survived by: Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Elsie Acker Schneider, his daughters, Joanne C. Schneider of Houston, Texas and Gwen E. Goepel of Cedar Point, NC, his son, Gary H. Schneider of Edison, NJ and his grandchildren, Jesse R., Zachary D. and Casey L. Goepel and Ryan A. Schneider.Also surviving are his brother, Harold Schneider of Newark, NJ and his sister, Gladys Godrey of Union, NJ.
