TAGteacher Spotlight: Heidi Schneider
...
"I love the volumes of information packed into one little click!",Heidi Schneider
Heidi Schneider, far rightCongratulations to Heidi Schneider of Grand Forks, North Dakota, for having completed her master's thesis, "The Effect of Teaching with Acoustical Guidance (TAG) on the Mastery of a Grand Rond de Jambe (en dehors) and a Ballotte."
"It was a lot of work but definitely worth it," said Heidi."It's great to have some real TAGteach research to pass on to others."Heidi wants to encourage more statistical research with TAG."It's actually quite easy to collect data. The sound of the tags are easy to record; they either happen or they don't!"Heidi found the comments from study participants, such as, "I love learning like this" and "[TAG] makes a whole world of difference!"as rewarding as the statistical data.
Heidi is currently the group exercise coordinator for the Wellness Center at the University of North Dakota and has plans to open her own business offering exercise and dance classes for adults."TAGteach really works with all age groups and disciplines.I've found that I use the principles of TAGteach every day when dealing with associates, employees, and general issues in my life. You start to look for the positive instead of the negative."
Heidi first came to TAGteach as a dance, yoga, and Pilates instructor looking for a better way to teach and communicate with her students. After one seminar, she was so impressed by TAGteach that she decided to develop her master's thesis on teaching dance with TAGteach.
It seems Heidi's entire family is captivated by TAGteach.Heidi's mom, present to videotape the proceedings and record data during many of the TAG sessions, was "blown away" by the difference she saw with TAG.Heidi's sister, Abbey, is also a Level 1 Certified TAGteacher and hopes to use TAGteach in her future in child psychology.Heidi's sister, Maggie, is a second grade teacher and sees the possibility of TAGteach in her classroom. And Heidi's dad finally yelled out "Go get the tagger thing!"during a frustrating softball lesson he was teaching.
