Mike Schmidt, Network Manager for Footstar in Irving, knew of the quality and breadth of services that XiTech can provide from his previous position with a major telecommunications company.When he relocated to Irving to work for Footstar, he wanted XiTech to be on his team.

After several meetings and design discussions, XiTech was given the green light to begin the mail migration in April of 2001.XiTech provided a number of Compaq servers to Footstar, who had them shipped to XiTech's staging facility near Pittsburgh, PA.There, XiTech System Engineers built the racks and installed the Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000 software on Footstar's systems, working right alongside Footstar's own technical support people who had flown in to assist in the installation.While in Pittsburgh, XiTech delivered a special customized Exchange 2000 training class for Footstar's IT people who had made the trip.

Once the servers were in place and shipped, XiTech dispatched teams of network engineers and trainers to assist with the location-specific needs of Footstar.
