   State Winner - Matt Schmitmeyer Matt Schmitmeyer, the owner and operator of Schmitmeyer Hoof Trimming, trimmed approximately 3,500 dairy cows in his 1st year of business. During this time he has developed skills such as business management, proper trimming techniques, customer service, and professionalism. While a member of the Miami Valley Career Technology Center and Versailles FFA Chapter, Matt placed 10th in the State Farm Business Management CDE, served as chapter Sentinel, and placed 11th in the State Rural Soil Judging CDE. He has also been involved in the National Vocational Technology Honor Society, the Industrial Tech Club, served as a Student Ambassador, and was actively involved in his church, as a member of the youth group and coach of the church league baseball team. Matt plans to expand his hoof trimming business and become the owner of a grain and swine farm in the future. Matt is the son of Joe and Linda Schmitmeyer and an advisee of Mr. Waid Lyons, Mr. Larry Seibel, and Mrs. Dena Webker.
