Lori Schmidt of Otsego, one of Minnesota's newer cities, is representative of fast-growing Wright County and is ably equipped to represent District 19B.DFLer Schmidt, 33, a mother of two, has a law degree and commutes to her job as a Hennepin County social worker.

Schmidt says she represents fiscal conservatism, moderate ideas and family values.She wants adequate funding for education, and is willing to consider tax increases.She's open to raising the gas tax 3 or 4 cents for transportation needs.

Lori Schmidt of Hazelton, field representative for the North Dakota Farmers Union, showed a video on the NDFU camping program and thanked the co-op for providing the educational funds that help make the camps possible.

She invited patrons to sign up their children for the camps.
