Janis C. Schilling is a watercolor painter residing in Hudson, Ohio.The artist is originally from Michigan and is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a major in art education.She also completed her graduate work at West Virginia University, receiving a Masters in Art with a major in painting.Her love for art has been extended to others through her 10 year career as an art teacher in Southwestern Pennsylvania.Janis was honored for her work in education with the "Innovative Teacher of the Year" award presented by the Pennsylvania Education Association.

Janis is a signature member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, a member of The Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, The Ohio Watercolor Society and The Ohio Designer Craftsmen.

Jan continues to work in watercolor out of her studio in Hudson, Ohio, preparing a variety of compositions for competition and shows.She also does commercial design work, along with producing her own (signed and numbered )limited edition prints and notecards.
