    About Jim

    Jim did not begin skiing until age 18, but it took him only a few years to achieve PSIA Level III alpine certification along with AASI Level II snowboard certification. He has instructed at Bear Mountain, California; Breckenridge, Colorado; Big Sky, Montana; and is currently instructing and training for the Ski and Snowboard Schools of Aspen/Snowmass, where he has been since 2000. He has also taught at Coronet Peak in New Zealand. Jim and his racing partner Andy Docken have won the U.S. Powder 8 Championships and placed 2nd at the World Championships.
