   Len Scaffidi, Group Publisher After graduating from Emerson College with a degree in Mass Communications, Len spent 10 years in the music industry, working with artists as diverse as Stevie Wonder, the Grateful Dead and George Benson.

   Len worked on a variety of broadcast industry publications before joining Redgate Communications as VP/Group Publisher. At Redgate, he published three computer titles as well as several company magazines for Harris Corp., Apple Computer, Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsytems, among others. While at Redgate, Len led the launch of an online information service and a multimedia project for Apple Computer.
   
   Leaving Redgate just prior to its sale to AOL, Len took the helm of Plants Sites & Parks magazine. During his 14-year tenure as PS&P's Publisher, Len launched Bizsites.com and created custom websites for the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Ohio Dept. of Commerce, the Dept. of Defense and many other organizations.
   
   Len's 22-year career in publishing includes 15 years in online media. His training and experience acquired while working for two small, entrepreneurial companies as well as the world's three largest publishers (Reed-Elsevier, VNU and Intl. Thomson) has given him a unique perspective on online media and its role in corporate development.
   
   As Group Publisher for the Scher Group, Len is launching a series of collaborative knowledge communities that combine training with news, information, message boards, power groups, games and other online tools.
   
   Len lives in Greensboro, NC with his wife Paula, and their son lives in Chapel Hill, where he attends the University of North Carolina. When not launching websites, Len plays guitar in a local band.

   Southern Region - Len Scaffidi started working with manufacturers on distance learning initiatives after a 14-year career as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief at Plants Sites & Parks magazine. In 2004, Len went to work as Group Publisher for the Scher group, working on several online training initiatives, including the Green Industry Hub and online corporate universities, including Ford Motors and Cendant Corporation.
   
   Joining ToolingU in April of this year, Len said; "I'm really excited to be part of the team that's bringing state-of-the-art training and assessment tools to industry.
