Manoj Saxena is Vice President, Solutions and Assets for IBM Global Business Services. He is responsible for driving IBM’s strategy around the design and delivery of industry-specific Solutions.Mr. Saxena is an accomplished CEO and serial entrepreneur who has successfully founded and managed two software companies. Both were acquired within a five year span: Webify, a leader in industry-specific SOA middleware, was acquired by IBM in 2006 and Commerce One bought Exterprise, a Business Process Management software company in 2001.Prior to his current position at IBM, Mr. Saxena served as the Chairman and CEO of Webify Solutions Inc., where he provided the founding vision, start up capital and business leadership. He built Webify as a leader in industry-specific SOA software with 120 employees and operations in US and Mumbai leading to its acquisition by IBM in August 2006.Earlier, Mr. Saxena was Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development for Commerce One. Previously, he was the Founder, President and CEO of Exterprise Inc. which he grew from a startup staff of 5 to over 200 employees within 2 years. Prior to starting Exterprise, Mr. Saxena was a Business Unit Manager for 3M Telecom Systems (NYSE: MMM).For his accomplishments, Mr. Saxena has received industry recognition and awards including “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Inter@ctive Week magazine. He is recognized as an industry thought leader and is a frequently referenced spokesperson. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by Michigan State University, from where he had received his MBA in 1989. He also holds a Masters in Management Sciences Degree from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India.
