It's been four months since Joseph Savoie took over the reins as only the sixth president in UL's history.

Replacing the retiring Ray Authement, Savoie has been steadily going about the business of running the university since taking over.

This week, however, is a time to mark the change in leadership as UL plans to formally inaugurate Savoie into his role as part of the week's homecoming festivities. Thursday begins with something a little more somber than your traditional homecoming fare with a prayer service at 9 a.m. The investiture ceremony for Savoie takes place at 2 p.m.

But Savoie requested that the celebration only last a day and be folded in with another celebration.
