Roger Saoul has been Head of Group Public Affairs at J Sainsbury plc since 1994.He is responsible for the management of business contacts with Government and Parliament in London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and with the institutions of the European Union.He was worked in public affairs consultancy, and was head of the Economic Information and Government Affairs Departments at Marks and Spencer plc for 11 years.Born in Egypt, he was educated at French schools and at the University of Sheffield where he graduated in Economics.In the summer of 1999, he completed a part-time MSc course in Politics and Administration at Birkbeck College in the University of London.He lives in London with his twin sons.
