   Scott Santarella is the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the MMRF and MMRC, where he oversees the organizations' daily operations, strategic business planning, fundraising, research spending, programming, and public awareness efforts.In Scott's eight-years as Executive Director, the MMRF has seen its annual revenue grow 246%, while maintaining administrative and fundraising expenses at a combined 5%.Scott has been instrumental in the MMRF being recognized as an A+ charity by American Institute of Philanthropy , the only cancer-based organization which such distinction , and under his leadership the MMRF has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for four consecutive years.Scott's career experience spans the spectrum of the non-profit industry, from national fundraising for the March of Dimes, to international marketing and communication for the Knights of Columbus, to grassroots development with the Center for Environmental Activities, grant-making for the Educational Foundation of America.Scott received his Executive Leadership Certification from Harvard Business School in 2006.He graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BA in journalism.

   Scott T Santarella Executive Director & Chief Administration Officer Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation Scott T Santarella joined the MMRF as Executive Director in January 2000.An 18-year nonprofit executive, Scott has helped to raise nearly $100 million in his career.At the MMRF, Scott is responsible for overseeing the MMRF's daily operations, business planning, fundraising, grant-making and programming and public awareness efforts.In his six-year as executive director, the MMRF has seen its annual revenue grow 246%, while maintaining administrative and fundraising expenses at a combined 5%.
   
   Scott began his career in 1987 working in fundraising for The March of Dimes, National Office in White Plains, NY, as promotions manager where he was responsible for acquiring national corporate sponsorships for the organization's largest special event, WalkAmerica.He later joined the Knights of Columbus at their World Headquarters, in New Haven, CT as International Manager of Communications/Marketing, broadening his nonprofit experience to include a global perspective.In this position he served as the primary liaison between the Knights and the International Special Olympics Committee, managing the Knights $500,000 sponsorship of the event.
   
   In 1993, to further compliment his nonprofit career, Scott accepted a grassroots-level position as Director of Development/Public Relations at the Nature Center for Environmental Activities, in Westport, CT.Scott was instrumental in implementing the organization's first development office, realizing a 40% increase in funds raised through individual cultivation and annual campaign solicitation, while also directing a $600,000 capital campaign.
   
   Most recently, Scott served as Program Officer at the Educational Foundation of America, a $350-million national family foundation also located in Westport, CT. As Program Officer he managed the foundation's grant-making process and was responsible for reviewing and distributing more than $15 million in grants annually.
   
   Scott graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, cum laude, with a BA degree in Journalism.
