    Constable Deputy Randy Sanson is the Water Safety Training Officer and coordinator of a new plan for the lake's Search and Rescue teams.On Saturday, June 8th Officer Randy Sanson representing the Montgomery County Precinct No.1 Constables Department Marine Patrol officers, along with it's Volunteer Dive team in conjunction with the Lake Conroe Volunteer Fire Department, the North Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department, the Montgomery County Hospital District and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be participating in a "Mass Casualty Action" Drill on Lake Conroe.They will be searching for sunken boats resulting from crashes, and participate in above and below water rescues.Members from all of the groups will be responding to a simulated boating accident with multiple casualties both aboard a boat and in the water in order to prepare for the up coming season.Randy Sanson is the commander of the Constable's new high-powered patrol boat and has indicated that the Constable's water patrol and Search & Rescue Teams work in very close cooperation with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary's Flotilla No. 69 on Lake Conroe.Together they have developed a vital new Search & Detection Plan for finding accident and medical emergency victims by organizing a cross-landmark grid of the lake with preplanned priority search patterns.

    The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla No. 69 on Lake Conroe is prepared for the 2002 boating season through their continued training and recruiting during the winter season.Lake Conroe Flotilla has 36 active volunteer members who dedicate their time to ensuring Lake Conroe is the safest lake in Texas for boating.The Flotilla will be teaching Boating Safety on Saturdays, June 1st and the also the last Saturdays of June, July and August.The course will help all boaters to be more aware of safe vessel operation and a better understanding of federal, state and local boating regulations.The Texas Parks and Wildlife recognize this Boating Safety course as meeting their requirement for certification of boaters under the age of 18.Anyone interested in this Boat Safety course should call: (936) 449-6260 or (936) 597-5009.
