May struck a patrol vehicle driven by Westville Patrolman Michael Packer, 25, at Route 45 and Colonial Avenue in West Deptford shortly before 3 a.m. June 16.
He was charged with driving under the influence and assault by auto, an indictable offense, authorities said.
