Association President Alan Sanner says the event is designed to offer the candidates an opportunity to present their vision for the planned restoration project as well as clarify current issues as they relate to the lease holders, private land owners and the citizens of Centralia.

Although not all the leaseholders appeared to be totally satisfied with the council action, Alan Sanner, president of the Raccoon Lake Association, thanked the council for its hard work on the issue, saying, "There is no ideal situation here, but we have come so far in terms of what was originally offered."

Al Sanner of the Raccoon Lake Association agreed.

But Raccoon Lake Association President Al Sanner says new technology could reduce the cost of dredging the lake by 50 percent.

The task force will be made up of two council members, two members of the Raccoon Lake Association, three Centralia residents, and the City's Community Planning and Development Director and Public Works Director.
