Neil Sandler, our publisher, manages the business, Patricia Smith, our managing editor, copyedits all of my stories; Rachael Mock, our advertising manager, sells the advertising that makes the publication financially viable; Angie Crum, our administrator, manages our office and pays the bills; Kathy Whyte, our art director, produces our graphics; Karen Seldon, our circulation manager, keeps our databases current (we are now up to 23,000 subscribers!); and our network administrator, who prefers to remain anonymous, runs our servers, fixes the HTML that I corrupt, and codes special projects, like our reader survey (have I mentioned it yet?).

A few months back we brought on a new publisher, Neil Sandler, who's been herding the cats with great skill ever since. More recently, I've been appointed editor of our print publication, EOM, Earth Observation Magazine.

"One of our primary objectives in acquiring EOM just over a year ago was to ensure that it reaches the widest possible audience among professionals involved with mapping, remote sensing, GPS, and GIS," explained EOM publisher Neil Sandler.

A month ago Neil Sandler, the publisher of GIS Monitor and EOM, called me to ask whether I'd be interested in succeeding Adena as editor of both publications.

Perhaps my publisher Neil Sandler put it the best, "I was confused about what was the future, and what was happening now."
