"In terms of expansion money for ferry service, there is nothing there," said Veronica Sanchez, manager of community and governmental affairs for the authority.
The toll money would be sucked south toward the Bay Bridge and San Mateo Bridge corridors, where most toll revenue is generated, Sanchez said.

Part of the reason for the letter to Marin was to encourage locals to think about ferry service as they discuss possible transportation tax measures, Sanchez said.Marin officials are considering a ballot measure, but the focus has been on local projects, not ferry expansion.
Sanchez noted that federal money could also help pay for ferry expansion in the North Bay, but nothing is imminent.
Port Sonoma near Highway 37 is being considered as a potential new North Bay site for the ferry plan. The plan would cost $662 million over its first 10 years.
The Bay Area Council and the Bay Area Economic Forum, public policy groups led by business executives, have pushed the ferry plan.Gov.Gray Davis signed legislation creating the authority in 1999 and the group has mapped out a network of new ferry terminals as a way to move people to key Bay Area cities, avoiding car-choked highways.
