"I feel very blessed to be a part of the family here at Grace.
I enjoy teaching Band and seeing the students go from not being able to play a note to making beautiful music.
I think teaching Spanish is crucial because such a large percentage of our community speaks Spanish.
Knowing Spanish opens so many doors, not only for personal growth, but especially for sharing Christ."
Tracy was born and raised in a small town in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
She attended the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio, where she received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in Instrumental Music.
Upon completing a summer of missions in Hong Kong and China, she moved to Arizona and earned a Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance from Arizona State University.
While working toward a Doctor of Musical Arts degree, Tracy has also pursued the study of Spanish.
She has taken numerous courses at Denver Seminary and was a campus minister at ASU for six years.
She taught Band at Valley Christian High School for two years and for Mesa Public Schools for four years.
She has been teaching Band at GCCS since 1993, and in 2004 she began teaching Spanish as well.
She is happily married to her best friend, Edmundo.
