"Before we launched our site, there was no good way to know if a haunted house was awesome or terrible until you'd spent 10 or 15 bucks," says Rob Sanchez, spokesperson for Haunted Denver, "Now everyone can get the inside scoop on all of the haunted houses in Denver, not just the ones that advertise in the newspaper."

Haunted Denver, a project of Blood Brothers Media Group, received over 10,000 hits to its website within one month of launching last October. The website, promoted largely by word-of-mouth and volunteer flyer distribution teams, was featured in several Denver-area newspapers last year and also received Freak Fair's award for "Best Halloween Site of 2002."

This year, Haunted Denver's website features detailed information on each of the major haunted houses in Denver, including prices, locations, dates, and times, reviews of each attraction, and a printable $1-off coupon redeemable at 10 participating attractions.

According to Sanchez, Haunted Denver intends to distribute over 50,000 flyers this year at the close of concerts in the Denver area, including the controversial Marilyn Manson concert at the Fillmore Auditorium on October 14th.Plans for next year include a printed edition of the haunted house directory and reviews.
