Richard was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan and moved here in 1976. Subsequently, he attended LBJ High School here in Austin. He has worked with Fine Lumber since 2000. His skilled handling of our state-of-the-art equipment earned him the title of Mill Foreman after only a short time. He makes the knives and runs the profiles for stock or special order casings and crowns. Under his expert guidance, our millwork shop can turn out 150,000 to 180,000 linear feet of stock and orders in a month. He enjoys spending his time with his family, bike riding, camping and building metal and wood projects in his home shop.
