LSA athletic director Bobby Samford announced Thursday that Faith Academy's Chad Prewett had accepted the vacant boys and girls head coaching position for the Warriors.

According to Samford, the Faith coach was his first choice to take the two jobs."He was at the top of a very short list of people we were interested in," Samford said."You're talking about a state-caliber coach, and we're excited."First, he's a man of faith and that's very important to us.And he's an outstanding coach.He's the type of person we want in that position."Samford said that Prewett had always been a coach-of-interest to the LSA staff and would have been one of the first to be contacted should a position come open.
