Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics at Princeton University, Alexander Salzman was the driving force behind the TerraCycle Lawns division, which focused on lawn care research in the turf market.Alex is also leading recruiting for the redesigned summer internship program, which will continue to promote TerraCycle's student creativity.

At a young age, Alex ran a profitable organic produce business in Toronto.Shifting his focus to community service, in 2001 he launched a Trans-Canada bike tour that raised national support for two worthy charities.

More recently, Alex led a youth marketing team that gained national sponsorship for Toronto based Sights and Sounds Entertainment.

Led by summer associate Alex Salzman '06, an executive team and a squad of sprayers will coordinate the entire effort.

"I have a feeling that we might have over 30 students join our summer team by the time the dust settles," said Alex Salzman."I think that it's the opportunity to share in the TerraCycle energy and creativity that attracts my fellow students to join."

Unlike many internship requirements, TerraCycle interns do not have to be focused on business or economics.Students interested in the arts, architecture, engineering, writing, politics, etc. are encouraged to apply and needed to help out with all aspects of running the company.
