    Dr. Krishna Mohan Sahu graduated from India. He did his post graduation (MD, Internal Medicine) from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur and subsequently DNB (Nephrology) and DM (Nephrology) from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India. After that he completed 2 years of Clinical Fellowship in Adult Nephrology from University of Toronto, Canada. Dr Sahu has more than 12 years of extensive experience in Nephrology. He was associated with more than 1000 kidney transplantations (living as well as cadaver) in India and Canada. In Toronto, he worked with Dr. D.G Oreopoulos, considered to be father of Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD). Besides, he has had chance to work with many world famous authorities in various fields of Nephrology there. In India, Dr Sahu worked with renowned Nephrologists like Dr Vijay Kher, Dr RK Sharma, Dr Amit Gupta, Dr. JCM Shastry and others.

    During these 3 years, department of Nephrology at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka under the leadership of Dr Sahu has served more than 15,000 outpatients, 5000 inpatients, and carried out more than 12000 hemodialyses. In the process, it has been able to create a name for itself in the community for quality medical care delivery to all types of kidney patients, including dialysis and transplant ones. Patients with most difficult and complicated kidney diseases from other hospitals of Bangladesh are referred to and successfully treated at Nephrology department of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka. Accordingly Nephrology department has been awarded "Centre of Excellence" status by Apollo Hospitals Group. No wonder that patients and their families have developed a particular liking for the department as well as Dr Sahu. They find Dr Sahu quite knowledgeable, charming, and helpful.

    Dr Sahu has more than twelve peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals of repute. He attended many national and international conferences, and presented papers there. Dr. Sahu's main areas of interest are Transplantation, Dialysis, and Fluid & Electrolyte disorders. He intends to take the department of Nephrology to greater heights for Nephrology services in whole of Bangladesh as well as rest of Asia.
