PAULINE RYAN

Pauline was born on Wave Hill Station and grew up there.After the infamous "walk off" at the Station, she went to Kalkurringi and eventually Kununurra.

She has two children and is currently working at Waterloo Station in the homestead as Station Cook - a big job!

Pauline still finds time to paint - she has a clever style of precision dot-art in ochre, her main theme being foodgathering, which was the Aboriginal women's time consuming task - Pauline still has not been able to rid herself of the "food" - any outback Australian Station Cook will vouch that this is an around-the-clock seven days a week position.

Pauline's paintings are detailed, yet the colour blend is very relaxing - easy on the eye and very very clever.
