Murray Rutherford is an assistant professor in the school of resource and environmental management at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.He is a policy scientist whose research focuses on the human dimensions of natural resource management, including ecosystem-based management, policy analysis and evaluation, and human values and attitudes toward nature and the conservation of biological diversity.He has a B.Sc. in geology and a law degree from the University of British Columbia, a masters degree in resource and environmental management from Simon Fraser University, and a PhD in environmental policy from the school of forestry and environmental studies at Yale University.He is a co-editor and co-author of the book Coexisting With Large Carnivores: Lessons from Greater Yellowstone, published by Island Press in May, 2005.
