   LITTLE ROCK , Blake Rutherford, Director of Public Affairs for Stone Ward, was named to the Arkansas Business "Forty Under Forty" in the publication's June 25 edition.
   
   "Forty Under Forty" is a list of forty young business and professional leaders from across the state chosen by Arkansas Business for their accomplishments and achievements in their field.
   
   Rutherford joined Stone Ward in September 2006 as the Director of Public Affairs.With almost a decade of experience, he offers insight on public policy, issues management, and strategic counsel required to meet the complex needs of Stone Ward's clients.
   
   Rutherford is a graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Arkansas School of Law.Before joining Stone Ward, he served as an attorney with Wright Lindsey & Jennings LLP.Rutherford is a member of the Central High School 50th anniversary Commission and the American, Arkansas and Pulaski County bar associations.Stone Ward is headquartered in the River Market District in downtown Little Rock with an additional office in Chicago.

   Blake Rutherford, an attorney, is the Director of Public Communications at Stone Ward.With almost a decade's worth of experience in various aspects of communications, politics and business, as well as an understanding of corporate issues from a legal perspective, Blake offers insight on marketing communications, governmental affairs, issues management, public policy, and emerging media influencers.His strategic counsel is particularly valued by Stone Ward clients on issues that sit at the nexus of business and politics.
   
   A graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Arkansas School of Law, Blake is the co-founder of Oleet & Rutherford LLC a consulting firm established to forecast electoral outcomes and facilitate strategic allocation of limited capital and resources.Over the course of four years Oleet & Rutherford completed work for congressional, gubernatorial and presidential candidates, as well as The White House.
   
   After graduating from the University of Arkansas School of Law, Blake joined Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP in Little Rock.His work there focused primarily on for-profit and not-for-profit corporations, regulatory, administrative, and election law.Blake provided advice and counsel to political and issue campaigns and served as General Counsel to the Democratic Party of Arkansas.
   
   In the past year at Stone Ward, Blake has created integrated communications strategies for clients in the public and private realm.His work with the agency has also included a key role as the agency's General Counsel, and earned him a place on its Leadership team.
   
   Committed to community and philanthropy, Blake currently serves as a Commissioner on the Little Rock Central High School 50th Anniversary Commission and has worked on national programs and events such as the Grand Opening of the Clinton Presidential Library and the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative in 2005.
