Walter B. RustWalter Baker Rust, 91, of Tryon Estates, Columbus, died Dec. 30, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was the widower of the late Ruth Sanderson Rust.

He was a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, Case Institute of Technology (now Case Western Reserve University) and Harvard Business School.He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.He had a long career in human resource management.In retirement he served as a volunteer firefighter for Lake Lure Fire Department and was an active volunteer at Fairfield Mountain Resort and at Tryon Estates.
