Bill Russo , chamber president , said since the nonstop buses started running , the labor shortage seems to have lightened. And the flyers are undoubtedly being used.
...
Russo said he wasn't sure if he agreed with Palagyi's ridership statistics. He said he believed more Cleveland residents were using the Cleveland-to-Solon flyer because fewer Solon companies were complaining about shortages of entry-level workers.
Just coming off a labor shortage , my impression , talking to a number of employers , is that when they are looking at hiring , they are looking for people who will get the job done , Russo said.If they can find someone willing to show up on time and work , they will hire and train them. It's good business sense..
Russo said he was not aware of companies using diversity training to attract minorities.
But companies are really focused on a stable workforce , regardless of what various backgrounds they come from , Russo said.
