   Mr. Russo was CFO of Pharmavene which merged into Shire Laboratories in Rockville, MD for 6 years.He successfully completed numerous financing rounds, product licensing transactions, was responsible for extensive IPO oriented capital raising activities and the ultimate merger of the company into Shire.
   
   Prior to Shire, Mr. Russo was CFO at three international companies in the design engineering, construction and environmental consulting services field.He had financial and operational responsibilities for subsidiaries in South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.In 1990 Mr. Russo began an additional career in commercial banking.He was a founder of First Patriot Bancshares that later merged with United Bank in 1997.He became a founder of Cardinal Financial Corporation in 1997.
   
   Mr. Russo is currently on the Board of Directors of Cardinal Financial Corporation, a bank holding company, and serves on the Board of Trustees of TESST College of Technology, with four educational centers in the Washington-Baltimore region.Mr. Russo is a member of the CFO Forum Steering Committee for the Tech Council of Maryland, and is the Chairman of the CFO Forum for the Northern Virginia Technology Council.He is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
