Tamara Russkykh specializes in foreign literature acquisition by means of foreign currency purchase and subscription.She is the chief of the Sector of Booktrade and Foreign Periodicals in the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.Ms. Russkykh was part of the project to automate ordering and accounting for the foreign scientific periodicals of the scientific libraries of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences.She presented the operation of the system to the participants of the International Library Conference "Strategy of Acquisition" in 1996.Ms. Russkykh has authored six publications including "Organization of Acquisition of Materials for Ukrainian Libraries by Means of Foreign Currency Subscriptions" and "Current State of Acquisition by Means of Foreign Currency Purchase and Subscription and the Search for New Means of Retrieval of Scientific Information."
