The staff and students at Miller Elementary would like to recognize our principal, Mary Russell, for going above and beyond the call of duty.Mrs. Russell spent countless hours researching, recruiting, organizing, and physically working to improve Miller's playground.Gravel was removed and rubber mulch was put down around the play structures, making the playground a safer place for Miller students. Her endless effort is greatly appreciated by the staff, the students, and the community.Thank you, Mrs. Russell!

    To Mary Russell,

I have been reading this message board for some time and am probably going to tee off a lot of people with what I am about to say.I have been to Salem and was not impressed (on many levels).Ghost-wise, I got not a vibe. For the most part, I found Salem overly commercial. If you are truly looking for "ghost vibes," try Nantucket Island, but certainly in the off-season, not summer peak...Fall is perfect.A second runner-up would be Savannah, Georgia.

To Mary Russell, When my wife and I visited Salem last Sept 2000 we went on one of those haunted walking tours. One place in particular is a site that currently has some sort of office building on it, but the site itself has a long and interesting history.Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the building, but I have a book at home that includes some info, and a really interesting photo. At some point the building had housed the office of a developer or RealEstate office, something like that, but the site goes back to the time of the witch trials and I believe (if I remember the story correctly) was where Sheriff Corwin's (Sheriff during the witch trials) family buried his body in the cellar in hopes of keeping the enraged townsfolks from stealing his body because of his actions during the trials. If you like I can try to get the name of the site from the book I have.

To Mary Russell, It is said that the House of Seven Gables and also the birthplace of Nathanal Hawthorne are both haunted. I suppose you could try there.
