Andrea Russell is a Vancouver litigation lawyer with a significant history of involvement in international human rights issues.She holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in International Relations; as part of her graduate dissertation work at Cambridge University, she examined the indictments of the International Criminal Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda, in order to ascertain the Tribunals' legal approaches towards sexual violence committed against women during armed conflicts.Andrea has served as an Intern with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, where she served as a Rapporteur during the annual session of the international Sub-Commission on Human Rights.She is fluent in the French and German languages.

Andrea recently worked as a litigation associate with White & Case LLP in New York, where she was a member of litigation teams involved in complex international commercial litigations, and in suits involving numerous sovereign entities.She currently works as a litigation associate in the Vancouver office of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP.She is licensed to practise law in both New York state and in British Columbia, Canada.
