"WFA was part of the international group that developed the initial calculator, which is designed to provide agreed protocols and methodologies around measuring carbon output," said WFA's Director, Natural Resources, Amy Russell.

"In this second phase we have made generic improvements that will be passed onto the international consortium for possible adoption as a new international version, while continuing to add components that are specific to Australia, allowing us to create a genuine Australian calculator."

Amy Russell, Director Natural Resources at the Winemakers' Federation of Australia has just spent two weeks in discussion with UK trade on this topic and supports the need for industry innovation to respond to market demands for lightweight and clear glass bottles.
