    Freddy Ruiz

Freddy Ruiz is of Puerto Rican heritage, born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. In the streets of Brooklyn, Freddy was introduced to break dancing in the mid 80's, which began his love for dancing. In the late 80's, when old enough to enter New York clubs, "House" music became the new style. His performing experience began in high school, where he performed Break dancing numbers in the 1985 Christmas show. Here he developed the performing bug and kept dancing whatever came his way. In the late 80's/early 90's, Freddy began learning salsa in the various clubs of New York City, but had no formal training except for the passion in his heart.
