Richard Rubel, Director of ResearchMr. Rubel directs Traiger & Hinckley LLP's research into the underlying causes of indicia of lending discrimination identified by the firm's quantitative analyses of HMDA filings and proprietary loan data.He assists banks define their Community Reinvestment Act performance context and assesses whether potential investments are eligible for New Markets Tax Credits.Mr. Rubel also closely monitors administrative developments and works with regulatory agencies on applications and other matters.

Prior to joining Traiger & Hinckley LLP in 2001, Mr. Rubel spent five years in investment banking with CIBC World Markets, where he managed a team of foreign exchange specialists.He also worked as a consultant at the Bank of New York's Exotic Foreign Exchange Options and Multicurrency areas managing project testing, rewriting and teaching procedures, overseeing P&L, and preparing position reports for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.Mr. Rubel holds a degree in Economics from Hunter College.
