NY Mets hitting guru Rick Down and his Las Vegas partner Rich Rubel will be opening the Frozen Ropes, Las Vegas, Nevada facility this summer and are excited to introduce the Frozen Ropes curriculum to the Las Vegas metropolitan area .

Down's partner Rich Rubel is a Las Vegas resident who has been a Frozen Ropes National Instructor for 6 years, and a Frozen Ropes college player standout previously.
Rubel, a pitcher who holds the NABA record with 22k's in a 9 inning game, lettered as a freshman for the University of Connecticut Huskies with a fastball reaching 94mph.
After showing off the fastball again 10 years later, Rubel was drafted to pitch for the Modi'in Miracle in the Israeli Professional League's 2007 season.
Rubel is thrilled to be able to provide players with Frozen Ropes' unparalleled baseball and softball instruction and to be able to offer an indoor training venue to Las Vegas.
"The best feature of our location is the ability to have the turfed infield to open up for players.
The indoor facility will allow us to offer programs all year round," says Rubel.
