    Richard Rubel started playing baseball at the age of ten. Playing in Little League and participating in Travel Ball through the age of sixteen. He lettered three years on his Varsity baseball team at Horace High School in The Bronx, NY. Rich led the Lions to two Ivy League Championships earning the league MVP both his sophomore and senior years. Rich was named to the All Bronx 1st team as both a pitcher and infielder.

    While in high school, Rich was scouted by the New York Mets, Chicago White Sox, and Kansas City Royals, but decided to pursue college first and signed with the University of Connecticut on a 95% scholarship. After his freshman year, Rich hurt his elbow and decided to return to where he started at Frozen Ropes to become an instructor.

    Rich has been a part of five different locations and worked in the corporate office learning how to operate the other side of the company. In 2007, Rich became the youngest franchise owner in the country and is working on fulfilling his dream of teaching young ball players and providing a positive experience.
