JACKSON, Tenn. - Abe "Bud" Rubel II, 80, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at the Methodist Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.He was a native of Corinth and a former resident of Memphis.He was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Corinth to the late Lee and Lucille Rubel.He was a graduate of Corinth High School.He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.He served over five years on active duty and 24 years in reserve duty.He was a Civil Service worker in the Department of Defense for 26 years.He was a member of the American Legion for 40 years, 40ET8 for 30 years, and a life member of 351st Bomb Group Association, Air Force Association and Air Force Sergeant's Association.He was a member of Temple Israel in Memphis.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Temple Israel in Memphis.Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Henry Cemetery in Corinth.Canale Funeral Home of Memphis is in charge of arrangements, and McPeters Funeral Directors of Corinth is in charge of local arrangements.
