Shari P. RothenbergVICE PRESIDENT - MEMBER SERVICES Shari is the director of training and professional development for Rothstein Kass.Prior to becoming a director, she worked closely with clients to find solutions to complex accounting and tax related matters.Shari's specialization was in the financial services industry and more specifically, hedge funds, offshore funds, funds of funds, master feeders and broker dealers.Capitalizing on her earlier knowledge base, Shari currently devises and implements training and professional development programs, with emphasis focused on CPE requirements, for all organizational levels within Rothstein Kass.In addition, she oversees the evaluation of development initiatives to ensure best practices compliance is employed and training programs are aligned with Firm standards.
Shari received a B.S. in accounting from SUNY Albany and an M.S. in taxation from Seton Hall University.She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), American Woman's Society of CPAs (AWSCPA), and 100 Women in Hedge Funds.
As a charitable and philanthropic individual, Shari volunteers her time and energy to help make a difference in the community.She currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the American Woman's Society of CPAs, is a founder of the Society's New Jersey Affiliate and is a governance committee member for 100 Women in Hedge Funds.In the past, she served as a member of the board of trustees for the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting (EFWA).In addition, Shari participates in numerous local and regional charitable events, including pledge campaigns for the American Cancer Society.
