    A native of New Jersey, Amy Rossetti received her B.F.A. in Professional Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1994.After working in New York City as a photographer for the Village Voice, Amy moved to the Washington, DC area in 1996.

    She served as a Picture Editor for the Life Section of USA Today, after which Amy worked in first the Nation, and later the Business section of US News & World Report.Additionally, at US News, Amy lead the magazineÂ's contests initiative, resulting in the highest number of photography awards in the publicationÂ's history.

    In 2000, Amy left US News to work for National Geographic as Picture Editor for International Editions.Wishing to again make -- rather than edit -- photographs, Amy returned to shooting in 2001.She currently works for the Media General Northern Virginia Newspaper group as a staff photographer.
