OTTO ROSFELD of Valentine , NE , is a member of the Western Music Association and a speaker for the Nebraska Humanities Council.He has been writing songs since 1973 and poems and stories for reciting since 1992.His blend and mix of poetry and music is delightfully entertaining for all ages.Otto's songs and stories reflect the life style of the High Plains especially those who are associated with family owned farms and ranches.He is actively involved with the labor-intensive aspects of the T9 operation owned by his brother-in-law.
ECHO ROY of Shoshoni , WY , is a fourth-generation Wyoming rancher , born and raised 60 miles from anywhere..She remains in partnership with her brothers who raise cattle on the same ground homesteaded by their great-grandfather in 1876.Echo began writing years ago as a way to pay tribute to the unique heritage her family has enjoyed with the intent to preserve traditions and keep that heritage alive for future generations.She has published two books , Echos of Days Gone By and Echos in the Wind and is frequently a featured speaker at gatherings and events throughout the Western states.In 1995 , she was a participant in a ranch radio program at the Smithsonian in Washington , DC.Echo recently received her degree in Secondary Education and English at Chadron State College in Nebraska and helped organize the first writers' group on campus.She also belongs to Wyoming Writers , Inc. , WYOPoets , and serves as co-chair of the Wyoming Cowboy Poetry Roundup.
