"But that's what our audience wanted," said Stan Rosenberg, event manager of the Byron Colby Barn, which serves as the community center for the Prairie Crossing development in Grayslake."The first year we had a performing arts series -- 2002-03 -- we presented a very eclectic program, with rock, blues, bluegrass and early music."

When the first early music program drew an audience of 110, Rosenberg knew he had found a niche.

"There was a demand, so we've been running the Early Music series every season since," he said.

The Byron Colby Barn was a perfect place for our family dinner-just the right size, just the right atmosphere, and an added benefit was that it was so easy to work with Stan in making the arrangements. The helpful ideas, availability and assistance with hanging banners, getting extra tables and more made all the difference. Many many thanks to the Byron Colby Barn and staff for a superb evening!

Stan was great; he was never obvious and constantly oversaw the proceedings without getting in the way. It was great to work with Stan and the staff at Prairie Crossing.

Stan Rosenberg, who serves as the Barn's Events Manager, was always attentive, whether it was about lights, air conditioning or chair placement. He even helped us clean up afterwards. Our caterer was pleased with the ease of the kitchen.
