Ron Rosenberg

Ron is the immediate past, two-term president of TBS.Born in Pennsylvania, he has two sons in New York City: Jonathan, a professor and administrator of the Sports Administration program at New York University and Jason, a photographic artist/ travel writer/ musician/ deejay/yoga instructor.

Ron's field is promotional marketing and he served as president of the Sales Promotion Executives Association of New York and as an officer and board member of the Marketing Communications Executives - International.

A veteran of the U.S. Army in Europe, Ron graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, worked in Washington, D.C., for ABC-TV, was in promotion for LOOK and Boys' Life magazines, a marketing agency, and in the corporate marketing department at Philip Morris on Marlboro, Parliament, Virginia Slims, and Benson & Hedges brands, plus Persona shaving products, Clark Chewing Gum and Kit Kat candy.

Ron moved to Puerto Rico in late l989 to start his new life with his new wife, Pat, TBS Financial Secretary and all-around tireless worker at the Temple.

Ron Rosenberg, the president of Temple Beth Shalom in San Juan, Puerto Rico, was impressed with the record turnout in Boston after September 11.He is especially interested in encouraging Board members to attend a Biennial so that they can experience the spirit of the event, be as inspired by Rabbi Yoffie as he was, and share ideas with other congregations both formally and informally.
