Bio: A freshman at the Peabody Conservatory, Adam Rosen has been delving into the art of solo timpani playing. Playing since the age of 10 he has had the wonderful opportunity to study with great players such as John Feddersen, Rick Motylinski, Ken Whitelow, Eric Schweikert and Christopher Norton. As a student at the Eastern Music Festival in the summer of 2004 he had the opportunity to work in collaboration with students from some the best schools in the nation. Performing with multiple ensembles around the Raleigh area he played with Triangle Youth Philharmonic, the National Champion Triangle Youth Brass Band, the Triangle Wind Ensemble finally culminating with a performance as a Timpanist and Percussionist with the North Carolina Symphony. In the future he hopes to balance teaching high-caliber wind ensembles at the collegiate or high school level while managing a mallet company and maintaining a solo career. -
