Amy Rose

Amy Rose spent eight years as a member of the Encore Dance Company before earning her Bachelor of Performing Arts degree at Oklahoma City University.She has performed in the United States as well as abroad. Her professional performing career led her to Branson, MO. where she performed in "Music For All Time" at the Grand Palace Theatre.Amy has taught at several dance studios as well as Southwestern Michigan College. She has choreographed musicals, pageants, recitals and competition numbers.This will be her seventh season with the company.

For the opening "Space Jam" at Municipal Airport choreographed by Amy Rose, artistic director for Encore Dance Company, contestants danced in silver tops and black slacks.

Elected unanimously to the 2003-2004 board on the traditional motion by the Rev. Robert A. Smith were Bressler, Frantz, Mathews, Kathy Johnson, Laylin, Elaine McKeough, Barb Ickes, Mike Petersen, Judy Root, Rose, Dan Neese, Nancy Pallas and Ann Thompson.

Amy Rose, artistic director and former member said, "The dancers improved so much this year; the awards were just the icing on the cake.Having a variety of choreographers has really helped.Training the dancers to perform different styles is so important."

In addition to Rose, other choreographers included Abby Allsop, Kathy Bishop, Valerie Moore, Anne Wiesemes, and Kimberly Kulwicki.
